Tim Lee
No Discretion

Tim, formerly of southern popsters "Windbreakers", releases his second CD after a ten-year hiatus. In doing so he visited all his friends' studios; Mitch Easter's Fidelitorium, Don Coffey Jr.'s Studio 613, Jim Rivers' Kat P Studio, Todd Steed's Apeville and Bruce Watson's Money Shot Studio. Apparently he's also been interviewing some of these folks for us, as Don and Bruce have been in recent issues! The music is excellent "power pop" at times, yet many songs are slower and darker than most in that genre. The amazing thing is that despite the variety of studios the CD hangs together really well. Maybe it was the mastering by Jim Demain at Yes Master in Nashville? Or maybe it was solid songwriting with a good backing band?
