Donna Schoenherr received her initial dance training in Rochester, New York, a comprehensive 12-year programme under an internationally-renowned staff. She continued in New York City with a scholarship at the Melissa Hayden and David Howard Studios.
She first danced professionally as a child with the Festival Ballet of New York, under the direction of Kathleen Crofton. Later Donna joined the Cleveland Ballet at the peak of its success, performing in a repertoire which included works by Balanchine, Nahat and De Mille. She went on to dance with many independent choreographers such as Diane Coburn Bruning, was a frequent guest artist with the Glimmerglass Opera, New York, and worked extensively with Milton Myers, Robin Staff and Michael Mao in New York City. She toured internationally, performing in Paris, Oslo, and throughout Mexico with the Cervantino Arts Festival, and domestically to Houston, Phildelphia and Boston.
